Politics
The planet's government is dominated by the Church of the Savior Risen, an offshoot of an Earth belief group that made a later jump to space than most of its contemporaries, and as such has had a lesser impact except getting a world essentially to itself - even a planet not many colonists wanted to try for. All planetary and subplanetary decisions are made by church elders.
