Moritat is a planet 10,000km in diameter with 100% water coverage. Its proximity to the star Bettencourt produces an Earthlike, if extremely turbulent and humid, atmosphere. The planet's gravity is approximately 0.9g and atmospheric pressure is 1.2atm on average.
Demographics
Moritat's people are insular and xenophobic, living in underwater domed cities with little to no contact with the galaxy beyond them. The latest census estimates put the population at about five hundred people, but this number should be taken with a large grain of salt.
Economics
Being unconnected to the galaxy at large, no one knows what Moritat's exports might be like.
Politics
The populace is believed to have a participatory democracy in place, with the population voting on their leaders and actions.

One of the only access points on Moritat to the underwater cities is an artificial island along the planet's equator, housing the planet's starport. Considered a class-B facility by the Assessment Corps (during their first, last and only assessment), it houses a League-era TAS facility and one of the only remaining Republican Pathfinders offices.
