Backstory: Joaquin was born in Camp Three-Bee, one of the first tribes established after the Equipment Failure. He was always the largest of the tribe's children, and the most robust, but he fell ill shortly after his manhood rites, and remembers nothing for months afterward save for the hazy blur of the giant emblazoned sigil 3B printed upon the shelter wall near his bed.
Years later, he recovered to his former health, took a wife, and produced a daughter, to his shame. When his daughter was four air filters old he was introduced to traders from worlds beyond the sky. Promised huge rewards in exchange for mild labor, he was tricked and sold into slavery! Joaquin slaughtered his way out of trafficking with the help of the trader Nolan Hoareau and his eventual wife, fellow Irisian slave Estelle Hoareau, but earned the enmity of the surviving slaver captain, a powerful underworld figure.
With no way to return home Joaquin lived for years on Station Cedar, using his animal cunning to adapt and thrive in the strange sealed environment of robots, security forces and computers.
First term: Rolled perdev, got Str +1. Failed Survival: You suffer from a life-threatening illness. Reduce your Endurance by 1.
Second term: Rolled specialist, got Survival 1. Passed Survival, rolled Life Event:Birth! A daughter! Oh the shame. Passed Advancement with a 13. Rolled perdev, got +1 End. Got nothing for advancing because I already had Survival 1.
Third term: Rolled perdev, got +1 End. Betrayed by a friend. One of your Contacts or Allies betrays you, ending your career. That Contact or Ally becomes a Rival or Enemy. If you have no Contacts or Allies, then you are betrayed by someone you never saw coming and still gain a Rival or Enemy! Got an Enemy (spaceship captain).
Fourth term: switched to Wanderer, took Streetwise 0. Passed Survival. Life event: You pick up a few useful skills here and there. Gain one level of Jack of all Trades, Survival, Streetwise or Melee (any). Took JoAT 1. Passed Advancement roll, got Streetwise 1 for Rank 1 wanderer. Rolled service skills, got Streetwise 2. Passed aging roll.
