Deepti is a tiny planet, 3,800 km in diameter, with a surface gravity of 0.2g. There is no atmosphere or surface water. Deepti is the only terrestrial body in Ostria System aside the moons of the system's largest gas giants.
Demographics
Deepti's planetside population numbers just under 10 million - almost everyone here is involved in mining or the affairs of Station Cedar. Most of the people are Core Systems, though a few Mirandolans work here as well, living without the need for low-grav supplements.
Economics
Deepti is for the most part an inconsequential world, with no real materials of value. The ore extracted from the crust is found elsewhere in the sector, and in greater quantities. Without the flow of wealth from Station Cedar it is likely that few people would ever see the planet.
Politics
As the parent planet for a Transfer Station, Deepti's previous overseers were replaced with a Republic office whose workers serve by appointment by the planetary governor. Several remnants of the previous administration made the transition to the new system - tensions often rise between members of the "old guard" and appointees from out-of-system.
