Compass-class profile

The Compass-class is a venerable design, and can be traced back to the first starship boom during the golden age of exploration. Its forerunner was the EJDE Sustainable Exploration Craft, an icon of its day that could carry three humans into the unknown and return them safely. The design quickly gave way to a flurry of new models, but of all the craft derived from it only the Compass-class is still in common use.

More than 90% of all Compass-class vessels are owned by the Core Systems Scout Service, though the model is also very popular among freelance crews and independent explorers.
